  • Overview

    The Senior RAS Applications Specialist will be responsible for providing and maintaining a high level of performance as it pertains to the implementation of RAS applications for MDI and Lowes Foods customers. Principal territory will be the multi-state MDI marketing area. Frequent daily and overnight travel will be required.


    Level 10 position



    Coordinating the installation, and training of retail automation applications at MDI and Lowes Foods customer sites.


    Oversee the technical aspects of MDI new business conversions.


    Provide retail customers with consulting expertise to solve retail grocery operational problems with technology.


    Utilize retail grocery operations background and technical expertise to participate in projects to develop new RAS products and services for retail customers.


    Exemplifies positive, proactive, leadership traits.  Facilitates teamwork and collaboration across multiple facets of the services infrastructure.


    The incumbent should possess the knowledge and skill generally associated with a bachelor's degree in business or computer information systems, plus 3-5 years of experience in the following areas:

    • retail grocery operations or retail grocery management
    • support of various POS systems
    • PC hardware and peripherals and communications (PC to PC, network, etc.)

    Should have additional experience providing troubleshooting and problem solving skills that result in solutions for a large end-user group.

    Must possess the ability to document support requirements for hardware and software systems.

    Must present strong interpersonal and organizational skills.

    Rated "promotable" on HRP if currently lower than level 10.
