  • Overview

    The Production Manager oversees all aspects of our digital large-format color graphics pre-press and production department, including job scheduling and workflow, inventory, equipment resources, shipping and delivery, management of team members, quality control, installations and developing and maintaining client relationships in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment. The purpose of this position is to provide skilled “on-the-floor & in the field” decision-making and supervisory responsibility.

    Days Worked: Monday through Friday 12:00 pm to 9:00 pm

    Days Off: Saturday and Sunday


    Areas of responsibility include, but are not limited to:


    • Works collaboratively with the Advertising Department and our clients to develop graphics and signage to meet our clients’ needs in a timely fashion.
    • Envision and develop direction, goals, and priorities for department.
    • Recommends measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and print quality.
    • Oversees file prep and pre-press for a wide range of output devices, utilizing Adobe Creative Suites and equipment specific software.
    • Supervises equipment maintenance and service requests, working with equipment vendors to resolve issues and maximize up-time.
    • Sources material for a variety of applications, determining product sustainability and cost-efficiency.
    • Takes ownership of quality control within the department, ensuring that all team members adhere to quality standards.
    • Builds and maintains relationships with vendors and partners, securing competitive pricing on materials.
    • Handles customer concerns with urgency and professionalism, ensuring that issues are resolved quickly and to the customer’s full satisfaction.
    • Works with a sense of urgency to accommodate deadlines with accurate output.
    • Oversee the installation process of completed projects.
    • Assist, analyze, and resolve work problems. 
    • Responsible for attracting, developing, coaching and retaining high-performance team members, empowering them to elevate their level of responsibility, span of control and performance.
    • Serves as Print Equipment Operator when required.
    • Performs other duties as assigned by manager.


    Must possess an Associates Degree in Graphic Arts/Print or a related field. Bachelor's degree preferred.  Three or more years of related Graphic Arts/Print experience also preferred.  Must be proficient with Adobe Creative Suites software and Microsoft Office applications.  Must possess the ability to offer superb customer service to all clients. Must have excellent problem solving, organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills, and the ability to handle multiple priorities. Must be able to calculate cost and material yields accurately and efficiently.
