    Works with all levels of management and departments, as an integral part of the Human Resources team, to develop and execute a training and development strategy and framework that enables our company to achieve our strategic business objectives. The Learning & Development Leader responsibilities include learning gap analysis and assessment of training needs and mapping out development plans for teams and individuals. The Learning and Development Leader is responsible for managing, designing, developing, coordinating and conducting all training programs.                           



    • Improving the content and process of the new hire onboarding experience of all MDI hourly and salaried employees
    • Create a learning and development framework that fosters continuing education through training programs and learning opportunities to enhance skill development including, but not limited to:
      • Lunch & Learns
      • Coaching programs
      • Sales execution programs
      • Supervisory skill development
      • On the Job training and knowledge transfer process and information repository
    • Design, prepare and facilitate training resources across all departments
    • Work with the Alex Lee corporate Learning and Development Director to promote and implement the leadership development programs and strategy
    • Conduct organization-wide training needs assessment and identify skills or knowledge gaps that need to be addressed
    • Use known adult learning and education principles and stay up-to-date on new training methods and techniques
    • Assess instructional effectiveness and determine the impact of training on employee skills and KPIs
    • Lead a team consisting of a salaried training coordinator and a team of hourly trainers
    • Partner and build relationships with the range of learning institutions, technical colleges and continuing education programs within the area



    • Bachelor’s degree in education, industrial psychology, instructional design, learning and development or other relevant field
    • 4-6 years of experience as a hands-on training coordinator or training leader
    • Extensive experience with instructional design, adult learning theory and implementation
    • Ability to develop appropriate learning and development scorecard metrics to articulate the business ROI in learning and development programs
    • Experience in a manufacturing, distribution or similar organization with established ability to work at all levels of the organization, including an hourly and salaried workforce
