Overview

Introducing products to current and potential clients.  Work with customers to uncover their needs, create solutions, and build strong relationships

Selling over the phone connected with cold calling through business directories, client referrals, etc.

 

Work with customers to find what they want, create solutions and ensure a smooth sales process.

Responsibilities

  • Contacts potential customers from client referrals and business directories and maintains consistent communication and follow-up
  • Understanding customer needs and expectations and offering different alternatives, solutions, and support.
  • Responsible for placing weekly orders of 60+ dedicated customers to be picked up at the warehouse or scheduled for delivery
  • Coordinates with transportation to schedule truck deliveries for incorrect and/or special delivery requests
  • Collaborates with sales team to assist with orders during peak season and filling in as needed in the NC and TN areas when reps are unavailable
  • Handles incoming calls in addition to walk-in customer orders and special requests.
  • Occasionally visits customer stores to monitor and check that everything is in order and see what product may be missing.
  • Tracking weekly, monthly, and quarterly performance and sales metrics and distributing to leadership team
  • Collaborates with accounting to resolve issues concerning delinquent customer accounts, incorrect invoices, payments, and other billing inquiries.
  • Contacts dedicated route customers weekly to review promotions, introduce new products, and engage in suggestive selling.
  • Research the market for new competitive products introduces and the marketing strategies adopted by competitors.
  • Record details of all sales transaction and comprise reports to leadership team
  • Analyze the choices and financial capacities of each customer and promote suitable product to increase same store sales.
  • Resolves customer issues such as late deliveries, mis-picks, damaged product, offering substitutions based on customer needs.
  • Records out of stock to track lost sales, collaborates with Category Mgr and Buyers on concerns

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 2+ years’ inside sales experience
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with high level of confidence; the ability to call, connect and interact with potential customers.
  • Creative thinker and possess ability to resolve critical problems an energetic, outgoing, and friendly demeanor.
  • Ability to resolve critical problems.
  • Should be expert in handling Outlook and MS Excel.
  • Eager to expand company with new sales, clients, and territories
  • Self-motivated and self-directed
  • Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently.
  • In-depth understanding of company services and its position in the industry.
