Major Functions:

 

Oversee daily operations of mechanics and garage, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and to high standards. 

Requires excellent communication skills, multitasking ability, and experience in automotive services or a related field.

 

Schedule:  Tuesday-Saturday 5am-1:30pm

Responsibilities

 

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure timely and efficient workflow by prioritizing/allocating tasks with mechanics and technicians.
  • Coordinate daily operations of the garage, managing and closing out work orders, ensuring proper completion.
  • Serve as the point of contact for Dispatch, Central and MTH, coordinating and providing updates on repair status and addressing inquiries.
  • Maintain accurate records of preventative maintenance KPIs and reporting
  • Assist in ordering and managing inventory of parts and supplies.
  • Monitor and oversee road call activities.
  • Coordinate and manage preventative maintenance orders for remote sites, ensuring accurate record-keeping.
  • Monitor and maintain the cleanliness and organization of the garage.
  • Maintain a safe and organized work environment, ensuring compliance with all safety regulations and company policies.
  • Approve the work completed by Apprentice.
  • Support Fleet Manager and other staff with necessary tasks and perform repairs as needed.

Qualifications

 

Qualifications:

  • Three to five years work experience in vehicle/equipment maintenance, parts, and fuel management and/or
    transportation or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • ASE certification preferred.
  • Technical knowledge and skills related to internal combustion, diesel, and electric powered vehicles and
    material handling equipment.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Preferred proficiency using MS Office and fleet management systems.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Valid driver’s license.
