Overview

To assist the Produce Marketing Department and complete tasks as directed by multiple Produce Buyers.

 

Mon-Fri 8am-5pm Hours may change due to needs of the business or vacations.

-May require some weekend hours from time to time

 

Responsibilities

Accountabilities:

  • Answer customer telephone calls, emails, and faxes in a proper manner. Answer questions, take messages, and handle requests. Ensure phones are always covered.
  • Keypunch data into system as required.
  • Assist customers, vendors, and co-workers where needed.
  • Compile reports, email correspondence, and communicate to vendors/customers as needed. Update information in In Touch for customers, including weekly news reports, ads, new items, eShows, and product recalls.
  • Maintain Produce Order Guide via keying price/retail changes, discontinued items.
  • Responsible for processing credits, handbills, purchase orders, deal information, billbacks, related paperwork, faxing, and phoning when necessary. Facilitate Food Show by creating and maintaining flyers and vendor information.
  • Compare weekly ads to inventory in Mainframe to ensure that enough product is on-hand to cover the ads.
  • With general supervision, compose general office correspondence.
  • Help organize the time and work of the Buyer.Load and maintain schedules in time and attendance system.
  • Work with others in the Marketing Department as a team.
  • Help maintain office in a neat and orderly fashion, and maintain files as needed.Handle information of a confidential nature.
  • May be required to perform other tasks as necessary.

Qualifications

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Associate degree or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Proficient with Excel and Word.
  • Typing skills at 45 WPM or higher.
  • Excellent data entry and ten key skills.
  • Ability to work with little supervision, anticipate situations before they arise, and develop solutions.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, ability to meet deadlines and handle pressure.
  • Strengths in multi-tasking and good organizational skills. Able to work for more than one person at a time.
  • Ability to learn quickly and adapt to a changing and challenging environment.
  • Flexible with work hours.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Able to handle confidential information
