The Business Intelligence Analyst, will partner with an assigned operational area to deliver or help to deliver the below critical business deliverables (as required):
Developing and managing business intelligence solutions for the organization
- Learn / understand the needs of the business.
- Analyze and synthesize.
- Deliver and maintain reporting and analysis tools.
Streamlining approach towards reporting and analytics (i.e., moving from Excel to BI tools) where appropriate to improve business processes and efficiencies.
- Seek out opportunity for improvement and move business towards more efficient ways of working.
- Move from data to insights ‒ Shift from disconnected spreadsheets to tools that provide descriptive > diagnostic > predictive > prescriptive capabilities.
Collaborating with IT team members for the purpose of sourcing data and executing the company’s mission
- Translate the needs of the business to technical resources delivering access to required data.
- Ensures reliability / accuracy of information for end users.
Identifying data needs for the organization
- Helps determine what information is required to drive better decision-making.
- Comfortable with different data formats and 3rd party data and tools
Training and supporting user community on use of analytical solutions.
- Provide initial and on-going support as needed to assist end users with tools and solutions
