Overview

Responsible for maintenance, up-keep, and contracts for MDI Management properties. Performs skilled maintenance, trouble shooting, and repair of Ammonia refrigeration system, Freon refrigeration systems, and warehouse powered doors/door curtains in accordance with SOPs (standard operating procedures), internal requirements, manufacturer's specifications, and safety policies.

M-F 7am-3pm

Responsibilities

Accountabilities:
Assists in all battery room and facilities maintenance activities as needed
• Understands and maintains SQF
• Uses maintenance management system to complete repairs
• May be required to perform other tasks as necessary
• Assists with roof repairs and leaks
• Responsible for maintaining Pneumatic Systems
• Navigate the ammonia control system including troubleshooting faults, failures, and leaks
• Remove and replace faulty parting
• Read and navigate P&ID block flow diagrams
• Maintain the PSM program
• Operate and lubricate hydrants and control valves within the fires suppression system
• Adjust valve and pump packing glands
• Bleed moisture condensation from air compressors, air lines, and dry pipe system auxiliary
• Check for painted, damaged, corroded sprinkler and piping, clean strainers
• Replace missing hangers, gauges, and reset dry pipe valves
• Perform air compressor maintenance and exercise fire pumpsCertifications/Courses to complete and maintain compliance:

 

Certification/Courses to complete and mainain compliance:

   All courses completed required for FMT II
• Transformers & AC circuits
• Electrical Safety and Protection
• AC Control Equipment
• Electrical Safety in the Workplace
• Programmable Logic Controllers
• Basic Pneumatics and Troubleshooting
• Ammonia System Operator 2 & 3 certification
• Fire Sprinkler Maintenance license
• Advances to level II once all certifications are completed

Qualifications

Desirable Qualifications:
• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Certified on pallet jack and forklift
• Experience warehouse maintenance preferred
• Self-starter that needs little direction
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
Direction/Responsibility:
• Reports to the PSM Ref & Facilities Manager
